As you saw on Julia’s last post, we just started phase two! Before we started any digitization, we dedicated some time to test the system and to install our sync generator (donated by Walter Forsberg). The sync generator allows machines to work – as its name indicates – synchronized, in other words, it acts as a reference so all pieces of equipment understand each other.
However, our Horita BSG-50 sync generator was missing the AC adapter. This model uses a special 1/8″ connector, so finding the right adapter was a bit of a challenge. We were able to find the original AD-9500 adapter for Horita equipment online.
Our rack works smoothly now! Most delays between digital-analog equipment have considerably diminished, making our system much more reliable.
Our gorgeous sync generator in action.
