XFR Collective began a partnership with the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO) in 2017. The first phase of this partnership focused on building an audiovisual transfer rack in METRO’s new 599 studio space in Hell’s Kitchen. The collective and METRO have an ongoing consultancy to provide workshops and maintain a number of A/V formats, including analog videotape, analog audio, and digital tape, for transfer and digitization available to the METRO community of archives and libraries. A zine made by Mary Kidd can be found in our Resources page. More information can be found and transfer sessions can be booked through METRO here.
